Creator’s Game Lacrosse’s Purpose: strengthening athletes through coaching, competition, and championing spiritual growth.
Competitor’s Purpose: The reason I play lacrosse is for the love of the game. I want to become the best I can be – both on and off the field. I want to become a person of character, composure, confidence, and courage.
I believe that many of life’s greatest lessons, values and faith can be learned on the athletic field. Sports help to reveal and refine my character so I can become a person who loves, serves and cares. I support the values of Creator’s Game and strive to learn how to compete and live for Jesus Christ.
Competitor’s Creed
I accept responsibility for my behavior on and off the field. I understand that what I do and say affects my teammates, coaches, and family either positively or negatively.
I will lead courageously and live with integrity, doing the right thing regardless of the circumstances or consequences.
I will act with respect towards myself, my parents, coaches, teammates, opponents, refs, and spectators.
I will respect others and judge them based on the content of their character.
I will find ways to make everyone around me better and bring out the best in them.
I will seek ways to serve my teammates and lend a helping hand.
I will serve as a role model at all times – speaking with respect and acting courteously.
I will control my words, refraining from derogatory, demeaning talk and profanity.
I will give 100% effort to all practices, games, and events. I understand that my effort demonstrates my commitment to the team and respect for the coaches.
I will display good sportsmanship, encourage my teammates, refrain from trash-talking or intimidation of my opponents, and win and lose graciously. I will win with humility and lose with honor.
I will pursue a relationship with Christ and have a desire to honor Him in all I say and do.
Because I represent God, the Creator’s Game, family, coaches, team and myself, I abide by this Competitor’s Creed.
